London, UK – Honourable British Member of Parliament, Mr. Bob Blackman, recently addressed the House of Commons, raising serious concerns regarding the desperate situation and ongoing attacks on Hindu minorities in Bangladesh and Pakistan.
In a public statement shared on his social media platform, MP Bob Blackman emphasized that he receives messages almost daily regarding the violence and atrocities targeting the Hindu community in these regions.
This parliamentary intervention came shortly after a high-level meeting between MP Bob Blackman and a delegation from the Global Sanatan Leaders Association (GSLA) at the UK Parliament. During that meeting, the GSLA delegation, alongside other Bengali human rights campaigners, submitted a comprehensive report documenting the severe human rights violations and systemic persecution faced by religious minorities in Bangladesh.
“All of them said the same thing, which is that the position of Hindus in both countries is desperate,” stated MP Blackman, reflecting the urgent concerns raised by the GSLA and other human rights advocates.
During the parliamentary session, MP Blackman directly asked the Leader of the House for a statement regarding the UK Government’s intentions to protect these vulnerable minority groups. While the initial response primarily focused on Pakistan, MP Blackman confirmed he subsequently received a written answer from the Foreign Office specifically regarding Bangladesh.

According to the Foreign Office’s written response, the British High Commissioner explicitly raised the issue of violence with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on the 4th of October.
Despite this confirmation, MP Bob Blackman noted that he is still awaiting a formal statement to the House regarding the situation.
The Global Sanatan Leaders Association commends MP Bob Blackman for his steadfast support and for amplifying the voices of persecuted minorities on the international stage. The GSLA remains committed to its advocacy efforts, working closely with international bodies and global leaders to ensure the safety, dignity, and fundamental human rights of the Sanatan community worldwide.
